Welcome to ‘Change For My 2 Cents’ , the first release taken from Child of a Kingsman, Jack ‘Wildchild’ Brown’s upcoming album on BBE Music.
Featuring co-writing and musical contributions from trumpeter and vocalist Keyon Harrold and Aaron Green, Change For My 2 Cents sets the bar for the album with intricate lyrics of social commentary and protest over jazz fuelled riffs, a tough bassline and Keyon’s Miles like, ethereal trumpet motifs.
Jack Brown, AKA Wildchild, formed 90’s innovative hip-hop outfit Lootpack alongside Madlib and DJ Romes and released two full Lps as well as a number of singles, EPs and cross-collaborations with The Likwit Crew and The Alkaholiks. This connection and creative collaboration also included Madlib producing Wildchild’s first solo album Secondary Protocol in 2003.
Now, after a hiatus inspired by his desire to be a full-time father to his son Miles (you will know him as Jack Johnson from the TV show Blackish), Wildchild’s return to the studio has resulted in an album full of heavyweight guest artists, producers and beat makers and this first single A Change For My 2 Cents.
Change For My 2 Cents is released as a digital single, heralding the double vinyl release of the album to follow. This is a must for Hip-Hop lovers, Jazz lovers and lovers of rhymes and beats.
