Description

Elm is taken from Dark Room Note’s album “We Love You Dark Matter” that was released earlier in 2010.

Elm is a bittersweet love song written by the band following a visit to Berlin in October 2009 and is an ode to that city in the autumn time and to an imaginary couple that might have met there at the turn of the century. It’s whirling rhythms reflecting the turn of the carousel and the carefree twirling of a parasol.

The ‘Lights Tech Noir Mix’ remix that will be released alongside was produced by Irish remixer Neil Dixon.

The third track that is part of the single is Shake Shake My Ceiling. The video for Shake Shake My Ceiling was directed by Rory Bresnihan who won the prize for best short film for ‘The Man Inside’ at this year’s Kinsale Film Festival. Rory is currently working with Lars Von Trier on a feature film. The idea for the video was to catch people’s reactions to a man dancing on the streets of Berlin and was filmed over a 24 hour period.
