“Beatchild”, formerly known as Slakah the Beatchild, born Byram Joseph, is a music producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist & performing artist from Toronto, Canada.
An Internationally celebrated artist who’s diverse production style has seen him work with award-winning artists: Drake, Justin Nozuka, Glenn Lewis, Sinead Harnett, Amaal Nuux, Divine Brown, Melanie Durrant, Merna & countless others. Often referred to as a “genius” in the studio, his production style knows no boundaries. He produces genres ranging from rock, soul, hiphop, folk and everything in between.
Beatchild has written and produced countless hip-hop, soul infused recordings, including his own series of Soul Movement albums. In 2012 he introduced the genre bending sound of The Slakadeliqs, his psychedelic-soul project, which received numerous accolades and award nominations.
In 2016 both brands were combined into one and he is now officially referred to as Beatchild & The Slakadeliqs.
